Hi, I’m Michele Eckermann.
My life-long love and passion for animals started very young. I grew up in Kansas with room to run and explore on my grandparents’ farms.
I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1994 and then went to Kansas State University for my veterinary medicine studies. I moved to Harlan, Iowa and partnered at a mixed animal clinic for 16 years. I changed to specialty practice by earning a certification in rehabilitation at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in 2015 and I moved back to Omaha to practice. Shortly thereafter, I added a certification in chiropractics from Options For Animals. I also completed a short course in Acupuncture for pain management from the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies (CIVT).
I took an interest in animal nutrition and finished courses in Food Therapy from Chi Institute and Natural Nutrition from CIVT.
I spend most of my free time with my companion, Steve. We like road trips, motorcycle rides, UTV trails, and spending time with friends. I also enjoy learning to be a better cook, gardening, and I’m trying to push myself to read more books. I have two fantastic kids, Jared and Grace.
Welcome, I’m Suki Meyers!
I’m delighted to be a part of the N-Balance team!
I developed an interest in small animal nutrition while caring for animals in poor health. I discovered that making dietary changes can support healing and overall health. Thus, I started on a journey to expand my knowledge of pet nutrition.
I have participated in many hours of course work, including The Science Dog Course Master Class Certification in nutrition, Dogs Naturally Raw and Natural Raw Dog Food Summits, Dog Detox Summit, and Medicinal Mushrooms Pet Summit.
I have worked in the industry as a species appropriate diet sales associate and nutrition consultant for nearly nine years. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you!
